Jorge Luis Córdova Díaz , Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico

Jorge Luis Córdova Díaz was born in Manati, Puerto Rico on April 20, 1907.  Díaz graduated from The Catholic University of America in 1928 and received an LL B (law) degree from Harvard University in 1931.  He served as Resident Commissioner in the 91 and 92 Congresses in 1969-1973.   Díaz was deeply committed to alleviating drug abuse.  He introduced legislation to support programs for drug abuse prevention and rehabilitation of drug addicts.
